Haynesville Shale Region

The Haynesville Shale region stretches from East Texas to northwest Louisiana and is a high-growth unconventional play that is likely to become one of the two largest natural gas fields in the U.S. Chesapeake Midstream Partners (CMP) believes this play offers great potential for future expansion.

CMP recently acquired the Springridge Gas Gathering System. This system in the Haynesville Shale is a perfect fit with the company’s existing, more mature midstream assets in the Barnett and Mid-Continent regions. The acquisition positions CMP to offer the gas gathering services that area producers require.

  • More than 220 miles of gathering pipeline
  • 200,000 dedicated acres
  • Almost 22,000 horsepower of installed compression with the capacity to easily expand to 27,000 horsepower
  • Daily gathering throughput of approximately 440 million cubic feet
  • Gathering from 164 wells
