Chesapeake Midstream Partners Announces Registration Statement Filing on Form S-1 with the SEC

OKLAHOMA CITY, FEB 16, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) – Chesapeake Midstream Partners, L.P., a master limited partnership, announced today the filing of a registration statement on Form S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to its proposed initial public offering of common units representing limited partner interests. Application will be made to list the common units on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "CHM". CHM is currently owned by a 50/50 joint venture between Chesapeake Energy Corporation (NYSE: CHK) and Global Infrastructure Partners.

A registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission but has not yet become effective. These securities may not be sold nor may offers to buy be accepted prior to the time the registration statement becomes effective. The registration statement is available on the SEC's web site at http://www.sec.gov under the registrant's name, "Chesapeake Midstream Partners, L.P."
